T.O.N.I. e. V.

Der T.O.N.I. e.V. Neubrandenburg ist ein Verein und anerkannter Träger der freien Jugendhilfe des Landkreises Mecklenburgische Seenplatte, der präventive, lebenswelt-orientierte und sozialpädagogische Kinder- und Jugendarbeit gemäß den §§ 11 – 14 des SGB VIII leistet. Es besteht eine Vereinbarung mit dem Jugendamt bezgl. der §§ 8a und 72a SGB VIII.

Der T.O.N.I. e.V. ist fester Bestandteil der örtlichen Jugendhilfeplanung. Der gemeinnützige Verein unterhält die Kinder– und Jugendeinrichtung T.O.N.I. in Neubrandenburg im Stadtgebiet Datzeviertel, zu finden in der Straße „Uns Hüsung 29/31“. Der Name des Freizeittreffs „T.O.N.I.“ soll weiterhin an den im Jahr 2000 getöteten Neubrandenburger Jugendlichen Toni Beustier erinnern.

T.O.N.I. steht auch für Toleranz, Offenheit, Neutralität und Integration. Um diese vier Leitmotive zu leben, war bereits bei der Errichtung der Einrichtung im Jahr 2013 die Partizipation der zukünftigen Nutzer und Nutzerinnen, also der Kinder und Jugendlichen, ein erfolgreich durchgeführter Schwerpunkt in der Arbeit des Vereins.
